The Gunnel has to be straight and flat for it to be installed. from what I can tell the width of the Gunnel Track should be good, But the curve of the boat might not allow you to use the long 39in Track. For that particular boat it looks like it should be installed on the top of the gunnel. In saying that I cant say exactly how the gunnel is installed and how the screws need to be installed to make that work.

if there is room and the ability to screw it into place... you can install these whichever way you would like!
